This workshop explores the crucial role of spirituality in deep healing from addiction and trauma. We'll discuss how connecting with a higher power—whether you call it spirit, God, or something else—is essential for genuine recovery, moving beyond surface-level coping mechanisms.

Without this relationship to something much bigger than we are, our recovery is white knuckling. It is bands aids on a gapping wound.

We will explore how to cultivate and develop this inner relationship, how the sacred becomes real and powerful for us.

We'll examine how this relationship to something greater than ourselves can become a tangible, transformative force in the recovery process.

Bob has come to recognize and appreciate that how we conceive of ourselves and the boundaries of our minds is vitally important not only as a substantial cause of personal suffering but also as an underlying factor in many of our modern social problems.

Robert Falconer is best known for his deep involvement with Internal Family Systems therapy as a practitioner, teacher, and writer. For much of his long career, he has focused on the healing of childhood sexual abuse and other major trauma. He now is focused on placing IFS in a multicultural and historical context and working with the others within us--what we find in our minds that is not part of our systems, called unattached burdens and guides in IFS.
